Notebook: USAC TV Schedule Announced
USAC has announced that 20 of its races during the 2006 season will be broadcast on The Outdoor Channel, including 12 of the 14 scheduled Silver Crown events. The broadcast series will be known as USAC Thunder and will comprise one hour, tape-delayed programs shown Saturdays at 5:00pm, with the exception of the first two events from the Copper World Classic.
The schedule is as follows, with Indiana races highlighted in yellow:

- The “Night Before the 500″ at IRP on 5/27, broadcast 6/3
- The “Kroger Speedfest” (Brickyard 400 weekend) at IRP 8/3, broadcast 8/19
- The “Joe James/Pat O’Connor Classic” at Salem 8/12, broadcast 8/26
- The “Hut Hundred” at Terre Haute 9/9, broadcast 9/16
Just remember, these races are being shown so that you can relive the thrill of being there… TV is no substitute for going to the track! Heck, if you smile for the cameras, you might even get to see yourself on TV!
