Notebook: Sounds from Indiana Sprint Week at Terre Haute

Attention sprint car fans… I’ve just posted some sound recordings from the 2005 Indiana Sprint Week race held at the Terre Haute Action Track on July 22, 2005.

These were made during my first trip to THAT, so I didn’t yet have a good sense of where the best recording locations were and I didn’t make that many recordings (there are five total).

For the most part they are just the good ol’ sprint car sounds you normally hear, with the exception of the last clip. The last clip is of Levi Jones pulling into victory lane and the crowd cheering as he climbs the fence to grab the checkered flag.
