Notebook: New Internet Radio Station for Race Fans - RaceFanRadio.com!
A new indianapolis-based internet radio station has been announced called RaceFanRadio.com. President and CEO of RaceFanRadio.com Charlie Brown says that the station will present the best in Music and Motorsports coverage plus give fans a chance to interact with their favorite racing personalities.
If the initial programming is any indication, I think we can expect great things from this new group.
- Bob Jenkins will be hosting The Bob Jenkins Show every Monday night from 8 - 11:00pm.
- Rob Klepper will be hosting USAC Live with special guest Jack Arute and the stars of USAC every Wednesday night from 8 - 11:00pm.
- Behind the Scenes with Panther Racing will be a one-hour weekly show with days and times to be announced.
RaceFanRadio.com is offering spots in what it calls the VIP Spotters Club for an introductory price of just $9.95 per year! The regular price is currently expected to be $24.95 per year. VIP membership includes a variety of benefits including priority on-air participation, voting for the Grid Girl competition, free access to podcasts, VIP parties, an upgraded broadcast stream, and more.
In addition, RaceFanRadio.com is looking for five “Grid Girls” to represent them at various events throughout the year. If you’ve got what it takes to be a grid girl (or know someone who does) and would be interested in a unique opportunity to be part of the RaceFanRadio.com team, check the web site for more details.
RaceFanRadio.com expects to make numerous announcements in the coming days regarding alignments, signings and broadcast content including live events and more talent additions.
We wish them well!

Because of some other stuff I was doing, I only got to tune into the premier of the Bob Jenkins Show a little after 9pm. Unfortunately, it sounds like the show had to end early because technical glitches prevented them from putting callers on the air.
BUT… I have to say that the sound quality is absolutely fantastic! Waaaayy better than what you usually get on internet radio stations… a 128kbps stereo signal, the same rate at which I publish the racing sounds I record for IndianaRacing.net. It sounded like Bob was in the room with me! So major kudos for the show so far. I definitely look forward to listening in the future!
