Notebook: New Feature: IRN Video Collection Powered by YouTube

The explosion in popularity of video-sharing services such as YouTube.com has been nothing short of amazing. I’m pleased to announce that IndianaRacing.net has started building a collection of racing-related YouTube.com videos which can now be browsed and enjoyed by race fans everywhere.

The first video category is, of course, the Indianapolis 500! A large number of Indy 500 videos have been posted to YouTube.com and we currently have 100 of them added to our collection. As time goes on, we’ll add more videos and more categories.

The great thing about services like YouTube.com is that they allow race fans to see an event like the Indy 500 from hundreds of different perspectives. And note that I said “event” - not only do we get to see the race itself, we get to see glimpses of some of the pagentry, the people, and the “shenanigans” as well that truly make it the Greatest Spectacle in Racing!
