Notebook: Indiana Racing Notebook 4/25/2006

The Indy Pro Series will be conducting an open test at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Thursday, April 27th. It will be open to the public and free of charge.

WIBC will broadcast “The Great Race Countdown” which will include “play-by-play” coverage of the 1976, 1984, and 1996 Indianapolis 500 races, plus interviews with current and past drivers. The broadcast begins Saturday, May 27th at 9:00pm and ends Sunday, May 28th (race day!) at 5:00am. The race selections are notable for Sid Collins’ final Indy 500 (1976), Rick Mears’ second win (1984) and Buddy Lazier’s win (1996).

TV Alert: Mario, Michael, and Marco Andretti will be interviewed via satellite from Indianapolis on Wind Tunnel with Dave Despain on Sunday, May 7 at 9 p.m. ET.

Danica Patrick will appear at Borders bookstore at Keystone Crossing (near Keystone and 86th St in Indianapolis) to sign copies of her new book Danica: Crossing the Line on Sunday May 7th at 7:00pm.
