Robin Miller is reporting that Andretti-Green Racing has signed Marco Andretti to fill Dan Wheldon’s IRL seat and that Michael Andretti will come out of retirement to run a 5th car in the 2006 Indianapolis 500. SpeedTV.com article

Rich Tobias, Jr. and RW Motorsports placed their order for a “new” Stealth Pavement Silver Crown car. Tobias plans on running the entire 2006 schedule.

The USAC “Night of Champions” awards celebration will be held January 28th, 2006 at the Westin Hotel in downtown Indianapolis. Cocktails are at 5:00pm, dinner and program start at 6:00pm. Tickets are $75 each and an online order form is available here: USAC order form (PDF)

Shocking news (that’s a joke, by the way) from Toyota announced today… they’re leaving the Indy Racing League a year early and Honda will be the sole engine provider for the 2006 season.
