Notebook: eBay Alert: Indianapolis Motor Speedway Garage Doors

Now here’s something on eBay worth bidding on… a pair of wooden garage doors from the Indianapolis Motor Speedway!

Here’s the listing, posted by seller “500sx” from Selwicky, PA:

These are genuine doors from the Indianapolis Motor Speedway garage area back when the structures were all wooden. These doors were found around 1985 in a discard pile along with two other sets of garage doors at the Speedway. The only work the doors needed was re-painting and new glass installation.

I used the doors to replicate an Indy Speedway garage back when I owned a 1960 Watson Roadster. The car has since been sold and now I am selling the building where the display was located.
