Notebook: As Heard on WIBC-1070 AM…

As a regular listener of WIBC-1070 AM, it was an absolute thrill to hear Dave Wilson, host of the Dave Wilson Show and part of the IMS Radio Network team, playing some of my sound recordings and mentioning IndianaRacing.net on the air last Friday afternoon!
I had just left work for the evening and, as always, had the radio tuned to WIBC. As the newsroom passed the broadcast back to Dave, the distinct sound of IndyCars could be heard in the background. At first I figured Dave was broadcasting live from Kansas Speedway since he would be covering the Indy Racing League event there that weekend, but something about the sound of the cars didn’t sound quite right for Kansas. In fact, they sounded surprisingly familiar!
When Dave said “This is some great stuff from IndianaRacing.net” I think I almost went through the roof! I let out some major “Woo Hoos” and frankly didn’t care what other people in traffic around me might have thought. Apparently Dave played a couple of different clips on his show and since then I’ve gotten a number of positive comments from people who heard them.
So I’d like to take this opportunity to say “Thanks Dave!”, and encourage others to tune into the Dave Wilson Show, broadcast Monday - Friday from 4-7pm on WIBC-1070 AM, “Your Racin’ Station”.

Was listening to the King on Friday the first of July on my way to Gas City Speedway as I also listen to WIBC as often as I can. He was playing the sounds and tried to remember the site and forgot, so I e-mailed Dave and he sent me the info I needed. Nice site. Definitly in my favorites folder.
