If you’re a sprint car fan, you’ve got to see this! (And if you’re not a sprint car fan, what’s wrong with you?) Mills Video Productions, the official Videographer of USAC, has released an outstanding trailer for their latest video, the 2006 USAC National Sprint Car Year in Review. About three and a half minutes in length, the trailer features highlights from the 2006 season and is set to an absolutely rockin’ song called “Alive” by an Ohio band named Hair of the Dog. The link is available from the Mills Video Productions home page, and after you view it you’ll want to head right back to their site to buy the entire 2-DVD, 4-hour production. I did!

IMS Productions has released a pretty cool six-minute video to promote the 2007 Indianapolis 500. Using testimonials from some of the celebrities that attended the last few races, the video keys on the excitement of the event itself, making it attractive to both race fans and non-race fans alike. It’s all great, but the coolest scene is one where Henry Rollins appears to be standing on the track as cars fly past him. Check it out! read more »

Here’s a wacky animated video from YouTube described as “Wreckage and revenge on the motor speedway. Robbie Gordon saves the day!” Really? Robby Gordon saves the day? Apparently Robby is a family friend of the video’s creators. The video was created using replays from one of the original Papyrus Indy 500 video games and (oddly enough) features the music from “Peanuts” television shows which was written by Vince Guaraldi. A thumbs up for creativity on this one! read more »
