Sam Hornish Jr. passed rookie Marco Andretti low on the frontstretch – about 300 yards from the yard of bricks – to win the 90th Indianapolis 500-Mile race by .0635 of a second. It was the second-closest margin (.043 in 1992) in Indy 500 history and the closest in the Indy Racing League era. read more »

We FINALLY got a fantastic, sunny day for pole qualifying for the 90th running of the Indianapolis 500 last Saturday. To make it even more special, it coincided with Throwback Day at the Speedway which allowed fans to pay reduced prices for admission and refreshments and enjoy added attractions. From everything I could see, it could truly be said that “a good time was had by all”. read more »
