Here are several new photos of the construction project taking place at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in preparation for the 2008 Red Bull Indianapolis GP MotoGP race to be held September 14, 2008. Once again, these photos were taken from inside a moving track tour bus. With a few more laps in that thing I think I will qualify for a free upgrade to first class. read more »

You might look at this photo of Indy Pro Series drivers Tom Wierenga (#40) and Al Unser III (#12) dicing it up at about 190 mph on the front straight of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway during the 2007 Freedom 100 and think “Dang, that’s some tight racing! Those drivers must have nerves of steel!” (or perhaps something more colorful). And to that I’d say, “Forget about the guys protected by helmets and carbon fiber… check out the photographer!” read more »

Photos taken during the 2007 Indy Pro Series Freedom 100 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway May 25, 2007. Race winner Alex Lloyd started from second but led all 40 laps to notch his fourth win in four events, a perfect start to the 2007 season. Chris Festa placed second and Jaime Camara came in third. read more »

I had the pleasure of taking my family to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Hall of Fame Museum last Saturday, August 11. As we rode the tour bus around the track at speeds just slightly under Helio Castroneves’ 2007 Indy 500 pole-winning speed of 225.817 mph, I managed to snap a few photos of the road course construction project currently underway. read more »
