(I should start out by saying that my four year old grandson didn’t write this. Basically I took notes of different things he said all night after we left for Eldora Speedway on Saturday, April 28.)
Grandpa showed up while I was playing at my house. Mommy and our neighbor Taylor (she’s my babysitter, though I’m not a baby anymore) were there, too. I gave Grandpa a big hug and he asked me where we going? My answer was, “ELDORA!!!!” Eldora is what Daddy and Grandpa would say is my home track. read more »

The 24 Plus Hours of the 2006 USAC/Four Crown/Eldora Speedway/party/rain delay proved once again, that the internet is a wonderful innovation, but being there may have been even more of a relevant life experience. For much of Saturday and part of Sunday, September 24 I had a fine time reading all of the information, comedy routines, and other stuff that would fall into the too-much-information category on www.tjslideways.com and www.indianaopenwheel.com. read more »

Columbus, IN… One of the joys of life is overcoming whatever obstacles that will no doubt come your way as you live. Watching people do the same is very gratifying too. Take real racers, for example. Last year saw Shane Cottle having to deal with various and sundry setbacks, most especially race -related injuries, to still have a very decent year in the Edison 10E sprint car. And this past Friday night at Gas City/I-69 Speedway, on the opening night of USAC’s Border Wars, Mr. Cottle would get himself his first USAC feature win on the quarter mile bullring. read more »
