Columbus, IN… Even racing history is important, or it should be. We should remember and honor those who went before, be they statesmen, or racers. So this weekend just concluded saw yours truly going to two great and storied race tracks to remember—and see some pretty good racing, 2005 style, at the same time. Dickie Gaines, son of a legend himself, along with Jerry Coons Jr., a second generation racer, and Brian Tyler, part of a racing family, all took home the prizes this weekend. Sheldon Kinser, Pat O’Conner, and Joe James, racers from days gone by, would have been pleased to see these young men to carry on such a great tradition. read more »
