A day that started with rain and clouds gave way to at least a little sunshine just in time for the “50th running” of the 500 Festival parade on May 26, 2007. Colts quarterback Peyton Manning served as the Grand Marshall and special guest AJ Foyt celebrated his 50th anniversary at Indy. All 33 of the drivers competing in the Indianapolis 500 were joined by celebrities, bands, floats, and more to delight the crowds that lined the streets of downtown Indianapolis.   read more »

Colts superstar also to serve as IPL 500 Festival Parade grand marshal

Super Bowl XLI Most Valuable Player Peyton Manning will wave the green flag to start the 91st Indianapolis 500 on Sunday, May 27 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Two-time National Football League MVP Manning also will serve as grand marshal of the IPL 500 Festival Parade on Saturday, May 26 in downtown Indianapolis.   read more »
