Spotlight: Kid Rock Carb Day Concert Crowd

A massive crowd gathered and braved the threat of rain to see a performance by Kid Rock on Carb Day for the 91st running of the Indianapolis 500 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
I took this photo by mounting my camera on a monopod, setting the self-timer, and hoisting it up several feet in the air above a fence while standing on the stairs of the pedestrian bridge that provides spectator access to the infield. Imagine if I had a real wide-angle lens (I’m working on that).
As many of you already know, I’m not a professional music critic. But if you like a combination of southern/hard rock/country (and can tolerate some explicit lyrics as “art”) then you might really enjoy Kid Rock’s new album “Rock N Roll Jesus”. You can listen to the whole thing at www.kidrock.com/lyrics.php. I’ll go out on a limb and give it a big thumbs up.
