Angelle Savoie (now Angelle Sampey) makes a nighttime run during the 2004 NHRA Mac Tools US Nationals at Indianapolis Raceway Park (now O’Reilly Raceway Park).
I like this photo because it really captures a slice of the action you see at the US Nationals each Labor Day weekend. I love the reflective decals the Army team uses, and obviously they show up well when the light from a flash hits them. Catching the flash from the photographer on the other side is what makes this photo… I got lucky (for once!).
