Gallery: MotoGP Road Course Construction Update 3

Here are several new photos of the construction project taking place at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in preparation for the 2008 Red Bull Indianapolis GP MotoGP race to be held September 14, 2008. Once again, these photos were taken from inside a moving track tour bus. With a few more laps in that thing I think I will qualify for a free upgrade to first class.

The photos will start with the section between turns 5 and 6 of the road course (turn 2 of the oval) and then move over to the section that will have turns 1-4 (turn one of the oval). One thing to note is that a portion of the pit wall on the front straight has been removed. Also, it appears that most of the utilities (except for perhaps some remaining electrical) have now been removed from inside turn 1. Large pipes/tubes are lined up in the infield which one could assume will be used to create the culvert for Dry Run Creek once it is rerouted.
