Tower Terrace is located on the inner west side of the track along the front straight, behind pit road. Tower Terrace is bordered on the north by the Gate 7 tunnel and a grassy area, and on the south by the Victory Podium and Pagoda. The Tower Suites are located directly behind Tower Terrace sections 49-79, and the Media Center is located behind sections 37-48.
According to a 2004 count conducted by Indianapolis Star reporter Curt Cavin, Tower Terrace has 22,564 seats.
Tower Terrace sections start at section 79 on the north side next to the Gate 7 tunnel and run through section 37 on the south side next to the Victory Podium and Pagoda. Rows are A through MM in most sections. Tower Terrace also includes 24 wheelchair positions, located in front of the Media Center.

Tower Terrace History
- Built in 1957, extension started that same year.
- Extension completed in 1958.
- Four sections added to south end in 1978.
- Extension, suites, and aluminum seating added in 1990.
- Fencing installed in front of Tower Terrace stands at north end in 1994.
- Renovated in 2003.
