South Vista
View a different seating location

South Vista is located on the outer south side of the track along the south short chute. South Vista is somewhat unique in that it is broken into two separate stands. The western portion is attached to Southwest Vista, and the eastern portion stands alone above the Main Gate tunnel. South Vista is bordered on the east by G Stand.
According to a 2004 count conducted by Indianapolis Star reporter Curt Cavin, South Vista (both portions) has 11,679 seats, of which 447 are deck seats.
South Vista sections start at section 1 on the west side next to Southwest Vista section 20 and run through section 21 on the east side next to G Stand. Sections 6-11 do not exist. Rows are A-RR. Deck rows are A&B.

(Section 1 Row A) Front row seats are great. The row is 10-15 feet above the race track. No problems seeing turns one and two. You are about 10 feet away fron the track. Lots of speed in these seats.

I have been sitting in the south vista since 1984. I think they are great seats. Sitting lower gives you a better idea how fast the cars are going. Sitting up high you can’t see anymore of the track and you lose the speed.
