A very unofficial poll has found that the photo shown here is one of everyone’s favorites. Why? Because she’s smiling! Congratulations to Danica… this is a big honor, the photos look great, and it brings a lot of publicity to the IndyCar Series. And to Sports Illustrated… thank you!

Watch the Daytona 500 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway! Wait… isn’t that like going to church to worship the Devil? I usually try to keep up with racing-related events around Indy, so I was surprised to first hear about what appears to be a really cool event happening this weekend (Jan 19 & 20) via an advertisement in the “Living” section of today’s Indianapolis Star. It’s called “Racing in Indiana: Gathering Before the Green Flag” and it’s being billed as “A Pre-Season Racing Industry Event for Motorsports Fans”, hosted by Mike King, chief announcer for the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Radio Network. The event is part of the final weekend of the “Speed” exhibit at the Indiana State Museum.   read more »
