This might seem a little off-topic, but I wanted to take just a moment to point out a great post titled Cycle of a Fan written by Geno Church on a marketing blog called Brains on Fire. It diagrams and discusses the cycle a fan of anything goes through (or could potentially go through), from introduction through ownership. What interested me the most was the bit about the transition from evangelism to ownership and what it requires: sacrifice. read more »

A blogger at FastMachines.com who goes by the name “Money CJ” recently did the Indy Racing Experience and turned a few laps at the Speedway in the single-seater. He writes about it here, and created a video which can be seen below. Those easily offended by foul language should be aware that the video contains a few “f-bombs”. read more »

Registration is now open for a new fall session of Indianapolis Motor Speedway Historian Donald Davidson’s popular Indy 500 History class, offered through the continuing education department of IUPUI. As in the spring session, the class will meet on consecutive Tuesdays from October 2 - 23.
