The Hoosier Race Report: Richard Briscoe

By Danny Burton

Many, too many, race fans don’t get to see very much of the behind the scenes work that a countless number of dedicated people do before, during, or after a typical weekly short track race. Spotlight: Dave Darland Wins the 2004 Hoosier Hundred

Dave Darland hugs his wife Brenda in victory lane after winning the 2004 Hoosier Hundred USAC Silver Crown race at the Indianapolis State Fairgrounds.

This is one of my most favorite photos. I’m a big fan of Dave Darland, and I just love the way this photo captures the spontaneous joy of the moment.
