Columbus, IN… This would be the first full race weekend and, for the past several years, my “normal” race weekends have included visits to Bloomington and Lawrenceburg Speedways. Over the years, much has changed with respect to these two homes away from home. But to me it’s funny how little the tracks themselves have changed, along with the action on both tracks. Got my Bronze Badge for the Indianapolis 500 last week. I always like to post a photo since each year has a different design. For 2006, the badge is kind of oval-shaped, with the Borg-Warner trophy in the center and this year’s Indy 500 logo beneath it. Of course the logo says “90th Running” and includes the date of May 28, 2006 which in some ways is ironic because that is the ONE day that the Bronze Badge is virtually worthless!   read more »
