I always like to see race fans having FUN, and this certainly qualifies. IndianaRacing.net member Dean Lange drove his Unofficial Indy 500 Pace Car all the way from Iowa, and I met him in the parking lot on Saturday before the race on the way to the Drivers Meeting. Dedicated fans like Dean are a big part of what truly makes the Indianapolis 500 the “Greatest Spectacle in Racing”. read more »

Ron Heddendorf has launched a new web site with a nice collection of his favorite vintage racing photos. There are Midgets, Sprint cars, Indy cars, and even NASCAR Speedway cars from the 30’s through the 90’s. read more »

Here’s one big reason to like racing… the fans are some of the most generous people you’ll ever meet. Recently, the gang from Camp and Brew presented Mary Ann Miller and Jim Hall of Brian’s Wish with a big check (literally!) for the proceeds from this year’s Indy 500, um, “activities”, a record total of $2,630. read more »
